Title: Electrical Engineer

Role: SES is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented and committed Electrical Engineer to support Engineering, Product Development, Product Test & Verification, New Product Launch and related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer solutions, new product ideas and new product conceptual design
  • Requirements capture, detailed design, simulation, component selection
  • Rapid prototyping, design verification, life cycle and environmental testing
  • Schematic capture, PWB layout, and Circuit Card Assembly
  • Product change control and ECO process in accordance with Quality Assurance program
  • Support current production, parts substitution & obsolescence
  • Build & test engineering prototypes
  • Documentation, test plans, final reports
  • Assist software/firmware development as required

Qualifications:

Title: Embedded Firmware Software Developer

Role: We are seeking an energetic and committed Embedded Firmware Developer to join our dynamic product development team. The primary focus is the development of access control units, electronic locking devices, and other peripherals. This position will be responsible for collaboration, design, implementation, documentation, and testing. This position reports to the Senior Embedded Firmware Developer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and assist in developing firmware for new and existing access control product line.
  • Maintain, merge and deploy firmware applications.
  • Firmware documentation and process flowcharts.
  • Assess, utilize, maintain and update development tools and frameworks.
  • Interact with product development engineering team and mobile/cloud/enterprise software development team.
  • Assist with creating automated test suites for new and existing features with proper testing tools.

Qualifications

  • Experience in firmware development and design on embedded target platforms using C/C++ language.
  • Experience with an RTOS (real-time operating system)
  • Basic understanding of electronic circuits, ability to read schematics, and use electronic test and measurement equipment.
  • Troubleshoot system, performance, and functional issues with the firmware.
  • Perform design and code reviews and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with other engineers on technical and design issues.
  • Experience with Agile development processes
